Great Ingredients & Fast Absorbing, but Packaging Could Be Improved
I’ve been using this lotion as a part of my fitness journey and not necessarily as a postpartum mother. It has great ingredients and I’m so far impressed with the quality. It leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. The lotion absorbs quickly without feeling greasy or leaving any kind of residue. The scent it very nice!My only complaint is that the lotion is a bit thick. A larger pump or even a squeeze bottle would make it easier to dispense and use. Overall a great lotion!

Nourishing for post-partum moms
First, the ingredients are excellent—free from parabens, sulfates, additives, and fillers. Second, while the lotion has a thicker consistency, the texture is smooth and absorbs well. It keeps my skin hydrated without feeling greasy or drying out too quickly. Lastly, it has a light, natural almond scent that isn’t overpowering. I’m using this for post-partum care so the stretch marks are already there and while I’m proud of my marks, it’s nice to be able to firm up a bit with this lotion. The shea butter and nourishing oils make my skin feel more elastic and moisturized.Small factor that doesn’t play into how I rate things is that this is women-founded. I strongly believe that women know women best and I’ve always had such great results from women-founded products!

The number one thing to recommend this lotion is how clean the ingredients are. There is nothing in this product that I worry about absorbing into my skin. The moisturizers are primarily plant oils. Additionally, this product is vegan and cruelty-free. In terms of health and safety and the ethical dimension, this product is a winner across the board.Regarding how well it moisturizes, it is more emollient than an average body lotion but does not leave any greasiness behind. Once it absorbs, you can’t feel it’s on your skin. However, it takes a little longer to absorb because it’s more moisturizing.This lotion is unscented, so it should work for you if you’re sensitive to smells. I wish it had just a little bit of a natural scent out of the bottle, but that’s a matter of personal preference. Many people seek out unscented products, and if you’re one of them, you will like this lotion.

So moisturizing and smells amazing
My body has gone through so many changes the last few months and it’s taken a toll on my skin, so this firming lotion has been such a blessing during this phase in my life. What first attracted me to the product was the quality ingredients and lack of synthetic fragrances, dyes, parabens, phthalates or silicones, all things that I try to avoid at every stage of my life, but especially right now. The lotion itself is rich and creamy and smells absolutely amazing, with a subtle hint of almond to it. It isn’t oily or greasy and my skin just soaks it up and kind of tingles afterwards from the moisture boost. It’s a little pricey, but I feel like its many attributes help justify the cost. I recommend it to all my mom friends, and I will continue to use it in all my different life stages because I truly do like it that much!Update: I started having trouble getting the lotion out with the pump top so I took the pump top off and replaced it with a flip top from another product and now I can easily get the product out once again.

I believe that in order to truly know if a skincare product does what it claims to do, you have to use the product consistently for at least thirty days. As someone who has seen results in other firming lotions, primarily the brand associated with the Pink Cadillac, I was eager to see how the Mother Moon Firming Lotion compared.After five weeks of consistent daily use I’m disappointed that I didn’t see any difference whatsoever in my skin. Perhaps my skin doesn’t react positively to the ingredients contained in this product, but I was extremely disappointed because I really wanted to love this lotion. But sadly, I didn’t even like anything about it.To start, the smell is not very pleasant. It smells like diaper rash cream. The consistency of the lotion is very thick and sticky, it reminded me of elmers glue due to how tacky it was. It applies almost like sunscreen where it takes awhile to absorb fully into the skin, and my skin didn’t feel moisturized, in fact, my skin felt very dry afterwards to the point where I would have to use another body lotion on top of it to combat the dryness.This lotion wasn’t for me. It might work for somebody else, but I personally saw zero effects in regards to firming and toning after five weeks of consistent daily use.
