Make sure everything is lined up with the cup
This Dr brown cup is a great cup! I seen it can have mixed reviews. Like it’s hard for a child to get anything out of the straw (to fix this don’t push the straw (with the ball) fully into the straw (drinking part straw). You want to leave a little gap in the circle part for air flow.) It has only leaked a couple times you have to make sure everything is lined up and in place. Over time throwing the cup it can leave some drops here or there but it’s a great cup!!

Baby Loves It, But Some Downsides
My baby absolutely loves the Dr. Brown’s Milestones Baby’s First Straw Cup! It was an easy transition from a bottle, and the soft silicone straw is gentle on gums and great for little hands learning how to sip. The handles are perfectly sized, and my baby took to it right away — it quickly became our go-to cup for water and milk. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. It does tend to leak if it tips over or is shaken (which, let’s be honest, happens constantly with a baby). Also, the silicone straw stains pretty easily — especially if your baby eats or drinks anything with color (like purees or juice). Even after thorough washing, the straw holds onto some of those stains.Despite those minor issues, we still use it daily because of how much our baby enjoys it. Just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a leak-proof or stain-resistant option. Overall, a great starter straw cup!

Perfect Training Cup for Transition – Easy to Use and Clean!
The Dr. Brown’s Milestones Baby’s First Straw Cup has been a great find for my little one! The weighted straw makes it easy for babies to sip from any angle, which really helps when they’re learning. The spill-resistant design is a lifesaver no major leaks even when tossed around. The 9oz size is just right for water or milk, and the handles make it easy for small hands to hold. It’s also easy to clean and reassemble, unlike some other straw cups that have too many parts. The colors (dark blue and vintage yellow) look super cute and gender neutral.Overall, this cup is perfect for transitioning from bottles to regular cups. Durable, functional, and baby-friendly highly recommend for parents starting straw training!

    Great transition cup from bottles
Was super worried to transition from bottles to straw cup (skipping sippy cup) and she was skeptical at first. And cried with other straw cups because she would try to lay down and they would spill. This one has been a game changer ! She can lay down and drink it. Sometimes spills when she leaves milk close to the opening but finally no more bottles!Sucks to clean for sure but just happy to be done with bottles !

    Best Purchase!
The Best purchase! My 6 month old took to this almost immediately. Its easy for him to grab and drink by himself. Easy to clean, and put back together. I haven’t had any issues with leaking at all! Huge plus! I love that it has the measurements on the cup. Very helpful. Well worth the value.

Great price for 2 cups but they are a frustrating mess
The price is great for these 2 cups but I’m sure there are better options available. At first nothing would come up the straw so I had to Google it and found a TikTok where a mom explained there is a valve in the straw mechanism that cannot be covered or nothing will go up the straw, so insert the other piece in it but leave the valve hole open. Once I made sure I had it put together as she shows in her video, it immediately worked properly. None of this information is in the instructions that come with the cups, by the way. The other problem is that they are not leak or spill proof. My 1 year old decided to shake the cup around while it still had milk in it and it leaked out through the straw, the top, etc. and we had droplets of milk all over the place! I have not tried bring a cup with liquid in it in the diaper bag but I imagine I would have a leaky mess if I did. If you supervise your kid while they are drinking, these cups do the job and are a good value for 2 of them. Otherwise, they are a frustrating mess.

Great cup with thoughtful design, some minor drawbacks
My baby likes these cups the most out of all we’ve tried. I love the weighted straw — unlike other cups that require tilting or special manipulation, my baby can drink it dry easily. The handles are easy for little hands to hold, though they can get in the way when placing the cup in a stroller holder or packing multiple cups in a lunchbox. I wish the handles could clip on from the outside so I could slip it on without removing the lid entirely. It does leak slightly when filled with milk after extended use. I ended up buying replacement cups since mine started leaking more, and unfortunately, replacement parts are more expensive than buying a whole new cup.Overall, it’s a thoughtfully designed cup that works really well for teaching independent drinking, but the minor leakage and handle design could use improvement.

It’s a perfect size and comfortable for the child to hold. But unfortunately after 2 weeks of usage, it has become uneasy to travel with it as it leaks a lot from the straw itself. For such a reputed brand, expected it to be accurate as what it states.
