Great, easy carrier for newborns
We’ve been using this carrier since my daughter was 3 weeks, and she’s just now outgrowing it at nearly 4 months/ 16lbs. I imagine it says it can still carry heavier babies than her, but we use it mostly for napping and since she has passed about 15lbs, she doesn’t nap very well/ has a lot of rousing and startles compared to a nap in a wrap. But it has been great and totally worth the money, we got so much daily use out of it. Early on when she was fussier, I couldn’t use the wrap because she’d complain about how long it’d take me to put on – or she’d not like the wrap once she got in it and so it was a waste of effort to do the whole wrap choreography. This carrier on the other hand was so great because it was very easy to take off and on, when we were learning how to convince her to nap (she’s a FOMO baby lol). Anyway I recommend it! I bet it’d still be useful after 16lbs if your baby naps easily or likes being awake in it but for us we need to transition to something more suitable for her weight and preferences.

Worth the price
I have been using a $15 Infantino carrier for years. I finally decided to invest in this Ergo baby with my fourth newborn and I am so impressed by the difference! This is way more comfortable for both of us. My baby actually seems to like it and he settles in right away. It’s much faster to get it on and secured. It’s easier to breastfeed in, because there is no layer between me and baby. I love that I can get it off without taking off my sweater (when I put the sweater on over the carrier. I will likely have more babies, but even if this was my last one I would say this carrier is worth the price.

Easy to use
This carrier is easy to use. With my first baby, I bought a wrap that you tie and a fancy soft structured carrier with lots of “modes” for baby and toddler use. Both were too annoying for me to deal with, and I hardly used either one. This carrier is simple to adjust and put on, which is what I was looking for. I use it at least once a day since baby #2 was a week old, and he loves it. I can get some chores done or just rest my arms from holding him. It nearly always soothes him when he’s tired and having trouble settling and wanting a contact nap. I haven’t had it very long or needed to wash it yet, but so far it seems to be of good quality.

Simple and comfy
Really comfy and most importantly for me really easy to use and put on by myself. It’s super simple design and doesn’t have all the buttons and whatnot that other carriers have. I can strap and go effortlessly.

Comfortable, easy-to-use, and ergonomic for baby’s hips & back
The TLDR;This is a great carrier for your baby from the time they are born (>7lbs) to over a year old (<=25lbs) that is comfortable, simple to use, and extremely portable. At $79, even with only a year or so of utility for the average parent (unless you have another child!) it is worth the price paid in terms of utility, material quality, and thoughtful design.+ Comfortable, breathable fabric that is tested and found to be free from harmful substances and safe for human health.+ Easy to set up and wear correctly+ Portable and compact when folded- Only works for a small weight range from 7-25lbs, limiting its useful lifespan for parents- Needed a bit of 'break in' time to get the elastic parts to loosen up for ease of use*Utility*The baby carrier is easy to set up with a three-step process, rolling and securing the belt buckle, cinching the fabric at the waist belt, and then securing the shoulder straps across your back. It's important to ensure that the baby's legs make an "M" shape and they are secured high up enough for you to kiss their head. Their airway should be clear and the fabric should not rise above the baby's ear. This was easy to do with our 2w old baby who is around 8lbs. The most common problem people may have putting this on is the process of rolling up the belt one fold and securing it high enough up on midsection, it's almost around your navel or lower ribs, not your waist. It is extremely important to read all instructions and watch the videos to ensure you're wearing your baby safely! The carrier is extremely light and breathable, and stretches just enough to make it comfortable but without compromising the tightness you need to wear it safely. The belt and straps are plenty long enough to accommodate pretty much any body type. The major benefit of this carrier is how compact it is. It folds up into a bundle small enough to hook on a belt loop, or toss into a small bag to carry. This means we are more likely to have this on hand when we need it and can readily travel with it without worrying about bulk. This carrier is very much intended for the first year or so of your child's life with a max weight of 25lbs, which means that it will have limited time of use for most families. This will not work for toddlers, who are often well above 25lbs. We already own an ErgoBaby Omni Dream from our first child, which works up to 45lbs... however, that carrier is more complicated and bulky. This will be a major buying decision for parents, whether to prioritize short term use or long term use. In our case, our 2yo hates being in a carrier, so having a carrier that accommodates his weight has little value for us. If I could go back in time, I would skip the ErgoBaby Omni Dream and buy the ErgoBaby Embrace for the newborn stage and then donate it or give it to a friend when we no longer needed it.*Build Quality & Care*The Ponte Knit fabric is buttery soft and very comfortable to the touch. It's relatively breathable and is not a bother to wear for extended periods of time, even in warm weather. My opinion is that this fabric blend is more comfortable to wear than the alternative air mesh, but at the cost of maximum breathability. Finding a carrier that carried certifications for being free from harmful materials was important to my partner and I, as the baby is breathing right up close to the fabric and touching it all the time. This carrier has a Oeko-Tex 100 certification, which doesn't necessarily mean it is perfect, but that the finished textile product has been tested and found to be free from harmful substances and safe for human health. This was a major plus for us.The stitching and build of the carrier is solid, with no visible loose stitching or loose fabric/threads to be seen. I did have a tough time with the elastic belt loop that holds the waist strap being too tight when it was new, which made putting on the strap properly tougher, but that has loosened up over time. The Amazon description for the Ponte knit fabric does say that it cannot be machine washed, however, having run it on gentle in the washer and hung to dry it was totally fine. ErgoBaby's instructions indicate it is safe to machine wash and air dry, but recommend using a pillowcase to stow the product while washing.

My favorite thing in the world
I bought two of these because I left one an hour from home and I needddd it! Now we have one for the house and car because my 3 mo old has lived in this carrier for her whole life. She takes the best naps and it has great support. Like literally. I have a really bad back and I am still comfortable in it!! The lumbar support is wild!

10/10
I have gotten so many different carriers and this one is by far my favorite. It’s perfect for newborns. I put my 7lb 12ounces newborn in it and she’s now 15lbs and still can fit in it. I’ve tried every carrier from cheap to the super expensive ones. Love this one!

Probably nope
Not sure if it’s this carrier or our baby just doesn’t like it at all. He likes another one tho. Each time I put him into this one he starts crying. The whole adjusting system is a bit overwhelming as well. I had to watch their video several times to remind myself how to do it correctly.

Tecido macio e resistente. Muito prático de colocar, boa ergonomia e sustentação cervical para o bebê. Minha filha está com 1 mês e por enquanto só tenho elogios.

The carrier is excellent, very soft and extremely comfortable for the baby. Also a great back support, I can wear it for longer stretches of time. Love the product. The only note if you live in a hot climate it might be a bit hot for the baby as the fabric makes them or warm and snug, so make sure it is not too hot for the baby.

Es suave, de buena calidad y fácil de guardar. Ayuda mucho a la espalda. Me parece que se adapta mejor a bebés desde recién nacidos como hasta los 5 meses.

We live in this carrier. Very soft but firm fabric, infinitely adjustable, great neck support for a newborn, and with the crossed soft straps on the back it has great back and shoulder support for mom or dad. It is crazy easy to use, and offers amazing comfort for parent and baby. Great “M” positioning for recommended ergonomic baby wearing. My 3 month old daughter has all her daytime naps in it, and has done so pretty much from her second week onward. It folds up really small, so it fits in the diaper bag. Also, if you’re breastfeeding this thing is amazing. You can loosen the straps, push baby off to one side and lower to nurse them, then switch sides. I can nurse her hands free while emptying the dishwasher or playing a game with my son, or even pumping on the other side, and when she passes out and unlatches, I can lift her by her bottom, tighten the side straps and she naps on my chest. For comparison, I also own and have regularly used ring slings, wraps, stretchy wraps, the original ergo and mei tai carriers with both my children – but this one is my favourite for ease of use and comfort.
