Great toy after some modification
This is a great interactive learning toy. The flashing lights and sounds help communicate to your child what buttons need to be pressed. However there is a serious design flaw. The on and off button is big, bright green, and right up front next to the other play buttons. So what do you think happens? Yup, your kid will continuously turn the toy on and off instead of playing with it as intended. This can be prevented with a simple modification though. Un screw all the screws on the back of the toy, including the one behind the batteries. Then find the plastic power button and remove it. The plastic button is hollow except for a cross shaped plastic structure that can be broken off with pliers. Then take an awl or thin screw driver and punch a small hole in the plastic button. Reinstall the plastic button and use the same screw driver you used to punch the hole, to press the true rubber button on the circuit board behind the plastic button. Your child wont be able to turn the toy on and off anymore.

Which One To Buy? Answers Here!
If you are OCD like me, you saw two different versions of this ABC Learning Apple and you didn’t know which one to buy. As my video explains, the two devices are almost exactly the same, with only very minor differences between the two.BLUE CATERPILLAR VERSION: Plays the ABC song when you turn it on. Does not have a flashing caterpillar mouth. Letters slightly lighter colored (may be easier/harder to see for some people).GREEN CATERPILLAR VERSION: No ABC song, just a voice intro when turned on. Caterpillar “talks” (flashes light) when speaking. Darker letters.Other than those very minor things, everything else about these ABC Apples is 99% the same. My daughter prefers the blue version since she loves the ABC song and she loves to turn it off and on over and over again just to sing-a-long to that song. I’d say that’s the most important factor for us in keeping just the blue version.

Just purchased in advance, but you can try it before opening. Seems great. Lots of games. Much larger than I imagined.

I have been re-buying this ever time I have a toddler. I love this toy. I’m not big on noisy toys that need batteries, but this is one of the ones I let in. It’s educational, and I just like it. Nothing stupid or nonsensy. It’s kinda down to earth and fun. Watch out for “s says ship”. Sometimes older children interpret this word another way with the electronic voice. My family has a good chuckle, and then I tell the big children to stop pushing it. Honestly, it’s a hear what you want to hear, and the toy is actually saying ship with a p, so it’s not a real problem at all.

A bit heavy but strong built and high quality, engaging toy, lots of things to learn for kids. Good music, has something for all ages starting from first months. Working steadily after two years. Definitely one of the best out there. It’s a five star.
