I can’t say enough good things about the Papablic duckbill valves! I use them with both my Medela pump parts and my Spectra, and they work beautifully with each. They’re super durable—I don’t have to replace them nearly as often as other brands—and the little pull tab is such a thoughtful feature that makes cleaning and removing them so much easier. These are the only valves I order now because I know I can count on them every single time. Highly recommend to any pumping mom!

Compatible with both hand held spectra pumps
Duckbill valves are compatible with the spectra pumps. They have great suction and have a good snug fit. No slipping or falling problems. Able to pull easily

Good replacement for Spectra S9
Got these to replace the ones that were sent by insurance, meant to use on my Spectra S9. The insurance ones were much to shallow – these have been great so far. Right depth, don’t seem flimsy, and nicely packaged. The pull tabs are a nice added feature.

Must Have Valves
If you plan on pumping while breast feeding, these are a must. They have a tan that makes it easier to remove from the pumps while washing and having multiple makes it less stressful when preparing your pumps between washes.

UPDATE: So I had originally rated this low (2 stars) because of the review you can still read below. However, after using these valves with a different pump, I am now convinced it was a problem with these combined with the pump I was using. Originally I was using the newer version of the Medela Pump In Style Advanced, and the valves would not empty into the bottle, allowing milk to suck into the tubing. But, when I used these same valves with my older version of the In Style pump, they work just fine. So, just be aware if you use the newer version of the Pump In style Advance (it’s white and oval shaped), for some reason that pump does not work well with these valves. So now, I’m giving it 4 stars. Not 5 just because it doesn’t necessarily work with every pump, even though it may be a pump problem, not a valve problem.(This was my original review)So I got these because I liked the idea of one piece to clean, and no tiny little membranes. Also the suction is great! Unfortunately they don’t drain the milk into the bottle enough. The tunnel of my breast shield got so backed up because the milk wasn’t draining down, that it caused milk to get sucked into the tubes and towards the pump motor. Fortunately I stopped it before it got to the motor.

Prefer these over spectra brand
These are thicker than spectra brand and are snug on the flange although I do not pull on the tab I just put my fingernail at the top and pull down as they are super snug

Love this item! It looks very similar to the spectra ones but has a little tab to pull the duckbills out. This is a gamechanger! I’ve already tried them and the suction is great! These are better than the original spectra and the maymom.
