Less Waste
These come highly recommended by several nursing mothers I know. I have gotten them for gifts for them and they all rave about them.They are soft, no irritation or sticking.They are absorbent. No leaks.They clean well. Follow the instructions for proper cleaning.They eliminate waste which is common with the disposable ones. I remember wearing the disposable ones and some days I didn’t hardly need them. But, they still had that worn feeling at the end of the day. I felt guilty pitching them. With these, you just wash and rewear!Some may find it weird to give an item like this as a gift, but I say – if you find some thing that is good – SHARE IT! So, I am happy to help out any and all nursing moms that I know!

Uncomfortable and kept moving but overall okay
These are soft in the center but itchy around the edges, which would not have been a problem if they could stay still. They need to be washed and changed out frequently which can be frustrating when pressed for time. However, I cannot deny that they made life easier.

A saver!!
During the first few months of breastfeeding I’m sure these will come in handy,, they already are. They save milk from going everywhere, especially in the middle of the night feeds. They wash easily and are ready to use again once dry!!

Bulky and does not hold up well in the wash
While I usually have only good things to say about Ameda products, this is an exception. The packaging for these breast pads says that they hold up well in the wash and retain their shape. This is not correct! I washed these pads in Dreft detergent (which is very mild), in cold water, and on the delicate cycle. I laid them flat to dry. They were bulky and not soft after this washing. After they were completely dry I tried to fluff them a bit in the dryer to help me mold them back into their original shape but I was unsuccessful and they were still a rumpled mess. They are not discreet as described, actually they are very bulky and I am unable to wear them under any clothing except pajamas because they show. Overall, I only gave them 2 stars because they are thick enough to prevent leaks. However, since they can’t be worn out of the house without causing embarassment, they are not practical and too expensive for night-time wear only. I would suggest going with the Ameda Disposable Breast Pads. While they are less eco-friendly and more expensive in the long run, they do the job and stay put inside a bra. Ameda Outlet is a very courteous seller with quick shipping. I would buy my disposables from them but skip the resuables next time!
