Bumkins Chewtensils are intended for Stage 1 of baby led weaning – introducing babies to the concept of holding a utensil and feeding themselves. We made Chewtensils from soft, textured silicone that’s easy to grip and is gentle on tender gums, with bendable heads for safety. Introduce babies to self-feeding by giving them utensils that can be chewed on before transitioning to silverware. The back of the spoon head has sensory bumps to stimulate gums. Weighted, textured handles allow little ones to hold while they begin to familiarize themselves with self-feeding. Perfect for dipping into pureed foods at the early part of baby led weaning.

We use third party labs to ensure the products we manufacture comply with CPSC and CPSIA standards for BPA, Lead, and Phthalates. Dishwasher-safe. For ages 6 months and up. Perfect for eaters, babies
These Chewtensils are a fantastic starter set for baby-led weaning! The soft silicone is gentle on gums and safe for teething, and the chunky handles are easy for little hands to grip. My 6-month-old loves using them to explore food and practice self-feeding. The fork and spoon are both the right size for small mouths, and the built-in safety guards give me peace of mind. I’ve tried many self feeding spoons and this one is the best. Baby loves using both to self feeding spoons. Easy to grasp and put it mouth. Cleans well, no stains.

A good sized utensil for those that are BLW
I purchased these prior to researching BLW feeding. More so, it was just a cute spoon that I’d be able to feed my baby and for simply that, it works great. The handle is very short and it isn’t easy trying to get purees out of jars. This, however, would be perfect for parents who are trying to do BLW feeding for baby. My 5 month old is easily able to grasp the spoon and feed himself.The utensils are made with a few little nooks and crannies, which can be frustrating to clean if you’ve left them out with food dried on it – but after soaking or just some good scrubbing, it’s easy enough!If your baby is teething, I’d be cautious to not let them chew on them. I don’t think they’d last too long if that were the case.

Perfect way to get started on using utensils!
My baby loves to use these utensils. He definitely feels more encouraged and confident using them. The only downside is that the fork struggles to be used properly due to the fact that it doesn’t pick up food quite the same.Otherwise they are easy for him to hold and of course kind of chew on in between bites. We have used other types of utensils considering he is 14 months old… But this is the best first fork and spoon said that we’ve come across so far.

The Bumpkins products are my absolute favorite! These utensils are silicone and are really great for teething or feeding. They are very durable as well as dishwasher safe which is such a plus! I love that they are easy for little hands to grip when learning to self feed. They also make a great gift with the bumpkins Mickey plate.

My daughter was struggling to use normal utensils but since using these she is much more confident with eating. Silicone is soft so they aren’t as sturdy as a normal fork and spoon. My daughter loves them and wasted far less food. Now when she uses a normal utensil she is much more confident too.

These Bumkins utensils are super cute and my baby boy loves them (6mo the old) they are easy for him to hold and use and I do not have to worry about him shoving them down his throat due to the stoppers on them. They are easy to clean, haven’t had an issue at all! Good product.
