It works! Very helpful.
I’d had this awhile but wasn’t feeling motivated to use it until I started experiencing some pretty serious muscle spasms in my back/shoulder area that were really impeding my ability to work. Pain killers were only getting me so far but as soon as I did any work there they were again. I dug this out and boiled the enormous amount of herbal material that’s packed into the cotton ‘teabag’ on the stove, drew the bath and dumped the saucepan of ‘herbal tea’ in the bath. In I got and I made a point of staying the advised 15-20 minutes. This was easy because the warm bath had been my best bet at muscle relief, but it hadn’t been lasting until I tried this concoction. I did at different points in the time put the bag directly under those muscles and lay back, I don’t know it that particularly helped or not. Anyway, that was all very good and I waited to see how long the relief would last. I was pleasantly surprised that it really did make a big difference. It didn’t completely see the problem off. When I went back to work days later the spasms returned with less force and i’m currently pain free. With pain at that level, of course, I used everything I could – pain killers, heat, creams and patches. They all played some role but I will definitely say that these herbs were at least as effective as the other modalities and when you are in real pain it is comforting to have one more method in your arsenal. I think that this is a good product, definitely.Don’t be surprised by what looks like a layer of mud in the bottom of the bath, though. I used a damp paper towel to pick up most of it rather than just rinse it down the drain and it came up quickly and cleanly. No worries!

Relaxing, but Not for Everyone
This herbal bath soak combines traditional Chinese herbs with Epsom salt and lavender to create a relaxing experience. It’s intended for muscle relief, stress detox, and even postpartum recovery. The scent is natural and herbal, not overly perfumed. The sachets are convenient—no need to measure out loose salts—and they dissolve well in warm water. However, the herbal scent might not be for everyone, especially those used to sweeter, floral bath products. Also, while the blend is meant to soothe sore muscles, it’s not as potent as some stronger Epsom salt mixes. For those who enjoy natural wellness products, this can be a nice addition to a self-care routine. However, if you’re looking for something with a stronger aroma or more immediate pain relief, other options might be better.

Potentail Hazard With Deep Soak
There are two methods for this herbal blend: Quick Soak and Deep SoakWe did the quick soak method, which is simply throwing the bundle into the bath as you would any other salts. The color that it makes the water is a bit-off putting (tea colored), but if you’ve had a particularly hard working or grimy day, maybe that’s a bonus because you can’t see the filth your contributing.I personally really loved the smell of this. The product is advertised with Epsom Salts and Lavender as the stars, and while they are indeed in the mix, lavender is not the primary floral odor. Overall it actually smells very earthy and herbal, maybe more akin to a sweet herb blend that you may put on pork?We didn’t try the deep soak, as it just seems very unsafe. Not only does it require transporting boiling water from one room to another (unless you do this directly in your bathroom with a portable cook top, etc), but they then want you to… sit in this boiling water. I understand the heat will disperse, but if you’re an individual that likes particularly hot baths, and then you add even hotter water into it, you may be setting yourself up for a bad eveningOverall I don’t mind this product, but it takes caution and patience if you’re going the deep soak

Not a fan
Okay, I get the idea behind this bath soak…it’s meant to be a more natural additive to your bubble bath time. It does take a lot of prep prior to using it though — not a fan of this. You’re supposed to boil it in the little satchel it comes in first, then add it to your bath. That takes too long for me; I’d rather have something I could just throw in the tub with me. Secondly, it smells STRONGLY and not a great scent unless you’re a huge fan of herbs. It was just — off, is the only thing I can say. It also leaves a ring around your tub, which is frustrating. I’m taking a bath because I want to relax, not to create more work for myself. But all that said, if you’re a huge fan of woowoo supplements, herbs, bath additives and the like, it may be up your alley. It’s not mine.

Very relaxing and soothing
this not only has lavender in it, but it has other herbs in it as well such as mug wart. Mugwort does have a stronger scent to it so if you’re not familiar with this fragrance, please note that it is prevalent in this bath soak. I happen to love mug wart so I don’t have issues with that. You do need to prep these bath teabags. You first need to steep them in a pot hot water for about 10 to 15 minutes and then you can add this to your bath. I actually use this in my foot soak and I really like it. It’s very relaxing and I do enjoy the fragrance of this product.
