Worked Great for Postpartum
My wife did a natural home birth, and these pads were lifesavers for her in her first week postpartum. They comes with instructions on how to activate them and they’re super easy to use, just fold them in half and squeeze to start the cooling process. They’re very absorbent too, and don’t need to be used with any additional pads. I think we order around 4 boxes total to get through the first week, and they were well worth it!

Does Not Cool
They don’t get cold. These are the worst cooling pads, I can’t even feel the slightest cooling effect. The cooling pads they gave in the hospital were a million times better. Save your money and ask for them at the hospital!

Big Pads, Cooling is Great
These are so much better and easier to use than having to wet down and freeze regular pads and fumble with perineal foam while dealing with lochia and discomfort on the toilet. I wish I had found these sooner.First off: the pads are HUGE. My only gripe is that the adhesive is a little lacking and the pad shifts easily from its own weight if you’re moving around. If you are following the 5-5-5 rule, these are best suited for the first two 5’s (5 days in bed, 5 days on bed). The absorbency is okay. I did need to add a panty liner for an extra heavy day.The cooling effect is soothing in a comfortable way. When I was using frozen pads, the cold was hurting my stitches and it was difficult to rest and to sit still. A lot of melt based leakage from the “old method” from frozen water and witch hazel is fixed by swapping out with these. These don’t get super cold, but rather provide a steady, half hour of cooling that still helps numb the pain until it’s time to change out the pad. I alternate between these and adult diapers, depending on the amount of absorbency needed, as it does fluctuate.They’re so easy to use. Just crack them, as others have said, a lot like a glow stick. Then remove the sticker for the adhesive on the back and stick right onto cotton panties. They do not have wings to help secure under the crotch, which would make these a bit better in staying put.With the current promo pricing, these are a good value for a pack of ten. Without the coupon, these are a little on the pricier side. That said, these also cut out a lot of “extra” products, like the need for perineal foam, witch hazel cooling pad liners, tucks pads, etc so the convenience of one product vs needing 4-5 might be worth the cost to many. The relief is certainly there. I am considering gifting a set of these to a friend who is expecting her first, as part of her postpartum self-care package.

Postpartum Essential
These ice packs are a postpartum essential! They are cheaper than the more commonly known brands but better quality! I would recommend putting this item on your registry or gifting it to an expecting mom.

Doesn’t work or become cold
Literally none of them worked. I’m 1 week pp and was eagerly waiting for these to arrive and then once I got them, none of them popped when you fold them in half and none worked.

Perineal Ice Pads Provide Soothing Cooling Comfort
These perineal cooling pads provide soothing relief and security. They are super easy and convenient to use. Just bend and squeeze the pad until the beads inside snap so liquids combine and then cool. The liquid inside is completely contained, and the outside acts as a normal absorbent pad. The cooling lasts for about 30 minutes, and it does not get icy, just nicely and gently cold. The pads are quite large, about twice the size of an overnight maxi pad.
