Needs higher ridge in the back
First impressions: good size, odorless and mat is sloped to let water flow into to sink. As for the 4 stars, the mat has a nice high ridge around both sides and the front. The ridge on the back is almost nonexistent. I tried to do what they did in one of the videos, pour a glass of water on the mat and watch it flow into the sink. Water did flow into the sink but also over the small ridge in the back onto my countertop. Under regular conditions they may not happen but surprised the bad lip or ridge was not higher.Flash forward: After using it for a week under normal conditions water Did Not flow over the back of the mat even though it has a much shorter lip or ridge. Not good to pour a full glass of water in the middle of the mat like I did to test it. It wasn’t designed for that. Sorry.

Nice looking, low key dish drainer takes the place of a bulky dish drainer, and because it’s silicone, it doubles as a hot pad for hot cooking pots. Be sure to measure your sink before ordering.

Exactly what you need if you’re washing larger items!
Perfect for those households that aren’t only washing plates and glasses by hand. My standard dish drainer was long ago banished from the counter because it was meant for dishes and what I hand wash most are large pots and pans. I had been looking for a better solution than a dish towel and this popped up and it has been perfect – holds a ton, doesn’t slip, but the ridges still provide enough elevation to allow airflow and let your items dry. I don’t know why I didn’t hunt for one of these sooner.

Could be better
It’s too thin and the spout side is useless because it lays flat. I kept it because there is an angled spout on my dish drain that drains out the water. I just use this for times water drips from utensils, etc. Just do your research. You might find something better. All over, products are being made thinner and inferior. Quality is not high on business priorities, just get more money and shave where you can to get it.

This drying mat is wonderful. Dishes don’t slide around anymore. The only thing I don’t like with the black color is the white water spots but I can live with those!
