    Amazing learning tool!
Upon looking at the pictures of this kit I was doubtful in purchasing it as some of the materials looked rather cheap but after much thought I opted to buy it based off the number of good reviews. Boy am I glad I did! So yes, in truth a lot of the materials are of an inexpensive quality BUT my toddler 2 year old daughter loves it. She frequently will pull the whole kit out (an impressive feat given its weight and size) and tell me what section she wants to focus on (e.g., alphabet, colors, shapes, or numbers). Sometimes we will actually get tired because she wants to do it so much. She especially loves the puzzles. When we first bought this a few months ago she was struggling with all of the topic areas this kit focuses on despite us using pictures, games and books to try to teach them. Now she can identify almost all of her shapes, colors and alphabet although the numbers continues to be a struggle for her (she can count to ten and some up to 20 and can count objects but can’t identify many the numbers by sight). I’m amazed by her progress over these last few months and totally contribute it to this kit, especially given that we had been working with her on these areas prior to using the kit utilizing multiple modalities with no luck. There are a few things that could be better…for instance the flash cards are a little flimsy and as other reviewers mentioned the 6 and 9 and p and q are literally the same cutout which can get confusing especially if puzzle pieces are turned. But overall when I take into account the price of this kit and it’s value in making learning fun and effectively teaching the concepts to kids in this age range I have been blown away and can honestly say it’s been one of the best purchases I’ve made. If you are on the fence about this product definitely give it a try! I know I will be purchasing the Teach my Preschooler and Teach my Kindergartener kits in the future without a doubt.

    Toddler ready!!!
I don’t know why customers are saying the quality of this kit is poor because it is not. The quality and everything else about this kit is amazing! As soon as I pulled it from the box my 16 month old was super excited. Now yes the color pink is a little off on the foam cutout but with all the other materials included with each lesson, it will definitely ensure that your kid will catch on despite that small detail. There are different shades to every color anyway. And the sturdiness of course gets lighter with age. My 10 year old doesn’t walk around with cardboard books, unless of course its a hardcopy. Teach my baby is for babies so the books and material are much harder. Our toddlers have to prepare for what’s next and what they will be using in school, which is paper, and that’s the most thin of any material in this kit. And if your child puts the tools in their mouth you have to reinforce that they are for learning, not get upset with the company. Toddlers put things in their mouths. Anything. My son tried to but after about 3 times of “no eating, this is for learning” he got it and we continued with the lesson. I hope this helps and the best of luck to all of your growing toddlers. Toddlers are the best!! And this kit is the best!Best regards.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I cannot say enough good things about this product. I got it for my 2.5 year old, originally thinking “okay, I’ll do it for her. Won’t be much fun for me but that doesn’t matter.” It actually IS fun for me. It’s totally organized. Every category has it’s own pouch with a teaching guide, songs, puzzles, books, flash cards, a poster… everything you need to make learning fun! The guide is very helpful and walks you through all the activities you can do and how to make them fun and most beneficial for your child’s learning. My kid loves it so much. She calls it “school” and asks to do it several times a day. For now we just stick to one category per day, we pull out a topic with its little pouch of activities and spend about 30-45 minutes doing all the fun little learning activities. You can easily tailor it to how long you’d like to spend each day. We LOVE this and our daughter has already learned so much.

    Good Starter kit
Updated: April 2016I have had this kit for two years and used for two children. This is a really nice case. Great idea for a parent.Everything is nicely packaged. I like the little case a well. It is durable enough for us. I do wish the capital and lowercase letters were on different cards. I think its too much to learn both at once. I purchased a separate set of flash cards with only one case on one side.We have lost most of the letters over the two years we have had this. The baby often chewed on the letter then they would no longer fit into the puzzle. The color puzzle is really cool. This is a really good starter kit.Cons:- My 18 month old had a hard time getting the letters to fit in the foam puzzle.- The lower case and upper case letters should be placed on separate flash cards not together. It maybe okay for the poster but not the cards.- The font used the letter I was confusing. They would always say L. I think anything made for beginners should use fonts that show an I with an top and bottom. I am sure there is a appropriate term for what I am saying.- The outgrew this really fast.In short, this is worth the buy if you want everything in a nice kit.***Update March 10, 2015I changed my rating to this to a 4. I have been using this with my 2 children. Compared to all the other items we have I don’t us this a lot.My almost 3 year old still has problems putting the letter or numbers in the foam. I thought by now she would be good at it. The one year old likes chewing the letters which doesn’t help. With our busy lives there are too many pieces to clean up.It is not the worst thing to buy. But, also not the best. It is a good start. I do think $50 is too much for it. $30 is about right.
