Uriage’s 1st Cleansing Water is like the minimalist Parisian apartment of baby skincare. Streamlined, efficient, no frills, but everything precisely where it should be.It lifts messes like a silk glove. Graceful, thorough, unfussy. No rinsing, no residue. Whether it’s drool, food crust, or diaper fallout, it handles the moment with cool competence. The formula is gentle, and my baby’s skin stays soft and soothed.The packaging is chef’s kiss. A top-pump that dispenses upwards, not sideways, which sounds like a footnote until you’re holding a squirming gremlin and trying to moisten a cotton round with one hand while your sanity frays. Little things, elevated.Why not five stars? The scent. It’s not offensive, but it carries a faint sterile whisper. Like a luxury hospital hallway. Clinical chic, if you will. In contrast, Mustela smells like a baby dressed in cashmere being kissed by angels in a sunlit meadow. So yes, I miss that.Still, Uriage earns its place. It’s the skincare equivalent of a Celine handbag. Understated, competent, French, and always prepared to clean up someone else’s mess.
