Better than Generic
They are just like the ones in the store that I’ve used for years. Although I sometimes buy the generic ones and they work well, the plastic quality of these are much better, especially if you’re freezing things. If you’re just storing in the fridge, the generic brand is fine. I prefer the Ziplock without the “zipper,” the ones that seal totally shut. Those eliminate freezer burn.

Gallon bags are great for left overs. We like heavy duty ones too. It’s reuseable – just depends on what you put in there! Gallon size is a perfect size

Great for freezing a roast. Also freeze individual portions in quart bags, then put all smaller bags in the gallon size to keep in one easy-to- find place.

I just can’t get past that funny smell!
I LOVE THESE BAGS…but these are not the original bags! These smell like they have been recycled and were washed with watered down garbage water. (Yes it is that disturbing to me). I have to wash them out with soap and water before using them. I still have some of the original bags and they have no smell at all. I don’t know what they are doing but these things smell bad. They work the same but I gave it 4 stars because I would not like anything I put in them smelling like this. PLEASE FIX IT SC JOHNSON!
