Much easier than previously used baby spoons, because the spoon is flat the baby food actually goes in their mouth and not just up the spoon. I love that it’s a small enough spoon for them to very comfortably feed themselves. The only thing is the grooves are kinda small and thin so I had to get a special brush for washing it.

these compare to many other self feeding early stage spoons.there is a popular brand however, which cannot be steam sterilized or it melts.I always like to steam sterilize my utensils, toys, or as much as I can in my 2 bottle sterilizer before even using.(yes, dishwashing or hand washing still advised prior to first use)these are only for baby and not long handled enough for mom/parent/caregiver to scoop and feed. we like a thin silicone spoon for parent feeding.but these are good for smashing banana, pear, peach, etc. and let baby learn to self-feed with a utensil.baby is 5 months, and assume doctor will give the “ok” to start some solids at the age 6 month.(baby # 1 was cleared at 5 months by a different doctor to start solids)with baby # 2 we are using the puree juice feeder where she can suck the juice out of grapes, and very ripe peaches work well in the juice feeder.the only issue with these type of foods, is that the food has to be solid enough to mash and cling to the spoon.so, these type of spoons do limit what foods work.a true puree would just drip off the spoons.it has to be a firm enough food, but still smashed enough for baby to swallow.we are transitioning from solid to foods that smash, and truly are limited in good options.this is just one of many utensils, and food serving options. the food feeder/juicer works well with crushed ice as well for teething.overall, these utensils are good, but I truly don’t need this many for their short use from our experience with baby # 1.

Great Spoons for Self-Feeding and Tender Gums
Nice spoons!This is a nice set of spoons. The silicone is smooth and had zero odor. The handles are short, perfect for little hands learning to self feed. The little nubs on the spoons are nice, as well. Pop these baby’s in the freezer for a bit and help your littles relieve sore gums.The spoons themselves aren’t going to hold a ton of food, but that’s a doubly good thing because you want small, safe bites, and if self-feeding you’re reducing the mess big ol’ spoonfuls can make.The shape of the spoons is gentle with no sharpe edges. These are s great addition to your babies start with foods and transition well into self-feedung. I personally always recommend you wash all silicone products by hand as that does extend their life.

This pack of baby spoons is a great product to have on hand when starting out with your baby. These spoons are easy to preload for baby and the ones with the cutouts are great for loading with more solid foods. They are easy for the baby to grab and hold onto and bring to their mouth on their own. They are made of a food grade silicone that provides a durable feeding surface but soft enough on their little gums. These are also easy to clean and overall work as they should.
