PRICELESS!
Moved from CA wildfire-ville and brought my HP300 with me to my real home in West Virginia. LOVE it. Bought a cat, that, of course, I’m allergic to so I bought a 2nd HP300. Worst allergy season I can recall and I had no trouble in investing in HP5300, their latest model. Takes the same type/# of filters as HP300 but is SILENT on lowest mode (24/7) and quite tolerable on higher levels as required. Fighting the urge to just donate my first two and get two more of the latest model. (Stay tuned!)The previous owner had an illegal # of cats in her house, particularly the basement forever. I won’t go into detail but MUST say, to surprise, an HP300 on lowest level (24/7) worked itself OVERTIME. I haven’t smelled (old) cat odors down there much at all. THEN, time came for the annual HEPA filter change and…. WOW! I wondered where the cat stink went? It was solidly collected as particles arrested in the 3 HEPA filter cartridges! I mean, THEY smelled HORRIBLE! Wiped things down for my benefit and fitted it out with HW replacement filters and I expect they’ll deal as efficiently with the rest. All of those stinky microparticles arrested and thrown OUT of my house. I LOVE THESE HEPA filters AND, as a retired board-certified (3 Fields) RN, I HIGHLY recommend them.

10/10 air filter by Honeywell
Great air filter. I’m someone who needs ambient noise and this air filter could either be quiet or loud. Quiet during the day and loud when I put it on max before I sleep. Sleep quality improved and air flow helps and unwanted smells. Also helps with my cat’s hair. Catches it all.

4 months and going strong
I prefer simpler models, but gave this modern one a try. Simple models just have a fan and a physical toggle switch. This one has whizzy LEDs and soft-touch digital lights, but does it stylishly enough. Still, just a motor and filter are what I want. But it works, and a powerstrip will take care of any desire for a physical toggle switch.Air flow feels strong at setting 3 (highest without turbo), and runs almost as loud as the unit replacing it (also at setting 3 out of 4 choices). So for airflow and noise, this is awesome. No weird noises of goofy chunks yet! Turbo is more powerful than the old unit (comparable size too).Cat hair is caught in the prefilter so I know this is definitely doing its job!Size is perfect for what it needs to do. Weight too is pretty good for size and bulk. The noise emitted works as “white noise”, which can be relaxing to induce sleep with.People with allergies will appreciate this too between seasons. No setting change randomly and there’s no air quality sensor that’s half-useless too. There are no ozone gimmicks to be found in this. Avoiding ozone is a MUST if you have pets, especially parrots. As some units automatically turn it on when the unit is powered on and theres an outage, that can be bad news.Definitely happy with this unit and am buying another.

Very nice unit, not too loud. No control lock, and auto mode isn’t quite what was expected.
I have the previous model of this air filter unit, as well, and they’re both really effective. I have air quality monitors in my house due to respiratory issues in our family, and there has been a very big improvement in both VOCs and particle ppm with these running. The bonus is that both units take the same filters, so I can usually get a better price with the larger order. This model is, in my opinion, more stylish than the older model. I like the lighting (and the option to dim it or turn it off). The fit and finish is of better quality in small ways (piece alignment, etc.).I have two relatively minor issues with the unit, and they might not be issues for others.1) No control lock. The control area on top of the unit is flat, and as anyone with cats knows, that is an invitation for being woken up at 3am by sudden Turbo mode. I don’t know if Opie gets a sudden desire for wind rippling through his fur, or what, but that is NOT what I need in the wee hours. The little jerk has also decided that this is now his preferred method of waking me up at O’dark-thirty to fill his food dish. Not amused. The ability to lock out the controls would be a very welcome feature.2) Auto mode isn’t what I expected. Now, I might not have read every word in the description as thoroughly as I thought, and that’s my bad. But it seemed to me that Auto Mode was indicating that when the unit sensed a drop in air quality, the unit would increase the fan speed until it cleared it. Apparently, that only applies to detected VOCs, not particle levels. My preference would be that it would be able to act on both. Just be aware of the limitations of this feature, in case you’re primary concern is particles (dust, dander, pollen, etc.).Overall, I do not regret the purchase, and would buy this model to replace the older one when it finally reaches the end of its useful life.

Instantly useful
I always thought air purifiers were a hoax. Seeing how well they worked sucking up a bird’s feather named Apollo on Youtube made me rethink it. And since my kids keep having congestion when they wake up in the morning, I bought enough of these for my office and all the bedrooms. I’d hoped we’d see those symptoms disappear in a couple weeks. It immediately helped relieve my common headaches that I thought were caused soley by starring at computer screens all day.I don’t know how this compares to other air purifiers. It’s small, can be quiet, can also kick out a lot of air for its size. But if you have any trouble with allergies or sinuses, it’s more than worth the initial price and cost of maintenance.

Funciona muy bien, muy útil el indicador de VOCs. Lo utilizamos en recámaras de hasta 20m^2 sin problemas.

This machine is quiet, and works good. Since I’ve had it I’ve seen no dust in the air and less dusting. There is dust but not as much. Also my nose isn’t as runny. I love this air purifier.
