My 2 cents –
Easy to use, the filter fits perfectly, recommended.
It’s small but that means it easily fits the door of our fridge and isn’t too heavy to lift and move. I originally bought the turquoise one for my mom and we all liked it so much (it really improved the taste of her water) that I bought the red one for our home to try and get us off purchasing sparkling water. The included basic filter fit perfectly (just have to line it up with the notch on the pitcher) after I followed the directions to rinse it under cold running water for fifteen seconds. I could see the carbon dust being washed away in about three seconds. The water tastes great and the pitcher is a good size for one or two people to use on a daily basis. The filter counter obviously doesn’t really know how much water has gone through it if you open the lid to refill before the pitcher is emptied. I plan on using my calender as a guide since I know how much water we use on a typical day. I also figure if the water tastes “off” it will be time to change the filter. You take the entire lid off to refill, but it comes off and snaps back on easily. The water filters through quickly, but it will take a couple minutes and you will need to fill it up in two batches as you wait for it to filter. The red color goes with our kitchen so I was happy it cost the same as the plain white one after paying an extra $4 for the turquoise one for mom. We’re all very happy with both of them. Recommended.

Clean, clear, affordable great tasting, trust-worthy water system that’s easy to clean.
Having owned another water filtration product by Brita, one that was more expensive even, going back to this system was a great decision. The container itself as well as the upper chamber meant to hold the water as it drains thru the filter, are both very easy to clean well, rinse well & return to it’s capped, enclosed system. The filters themselves are priced well for the amount of filtered water one receives prior to the light indicator displaying to the owner know ‘it’s time to replace.’ The water has no taste that one would receive from the tap; it is all thirst quenching, great tasting, clean, fresh water for you & your family to enjoy. It’s also nice that there are different colors offered. One can match their decor or if sharing a refrigerator w another person who also has his own filtration system, the color can make it very clear as to whose Brita system is whose. The water is more clear than anything off the tap so sit back & enjoy your nice, fresh, affordable glass of water. The ice made from the system is also great. Love this product. Would recommend this over other brands or even more expensive systems by Brita themselves.

Great pitcher, not sure about Brita in general…
Am I reviewing Brita or this specific pitcher? Mostly the latter, though a bit of bothI really like the pitcher. The size is right, my previous one was a giant 10 cup model that was a hassle to carry around. This one is comfortable to hold and to handle. The water pour firmly from the spout and not from the pre-filtered reservoir at the top, like some other annoying models of pitchers. The red color is deep and vivid and it looks decorative standing on the kitchen counter. The entire reservoir comes apart completely for cleaning – just pull it straight upwards.The one thing I would change is having a fill hole built into the cap, like in the larger models, instead of having to remove the entire top and put it somewhere while filling the pitcher. But non of the smaller models have that.Now about Brita in general. Why did I even get a Brita pitcher? Not clear, except that I’ve always had one and that everyone seems to have them. Only later I started wondering, is it worth the money and the hassle? Is there something off in my tap water? Probably not. If there was, does a Brita filter do anything to fix it? No, it only filters out like 3 specific materials that are not even harmful to your health. Does it at least improve the taste? Honestly, it just replaces the weird taste of my tap water with another weird taste. Is it really healthier to drink water that I have stored in a plastic box instead of straight from the tap? Doesn’t sound like it. I don’t know. But if you did decide that you want to have filtered water at home, and that you want them to be filtered by Brita, then this pitcher is a good choice.

I bought this size on the recommendation of other reviews. We are very pleased with the size and weight. We do not use the battery indicator for when to change the filter as it has no bearing on water use-age but works on how often you remove the top to refill the container (whether you do full or partial refills). We will change the filter every two months on the first day of the even months.What is great about it is that we now use the filtered water in our Soda Stream and the taste is fantastic. Before we were very disappointed in the taste of the carbonated water with the Soda Stream machine. This was a game changer.Wayne
