Water finally tastes right
I have one primary criteria for a water filter: the water coming out the other end needs to taste good. This filter was a smashing success in that regard.The next criteria are ease of filter changes and ease of installation. Changing the filter is dead easy, but I’m not anticipating having to do that for 5 full years. My last house had a 4-stage RO filtration system and changing those filters was a royal pain, involving wrenches, buckets, towels to mop up spills, etc. So, through painful experience, it was one of the things I looked for this time around. I want to be able to change a filter in 3 minutes – not 3 hours.Installation was very easy, too, but because I am using this as an in-line filter for our refrigerator, it did not come with the correct fittings. It assumes you are installing it in the cold water line under your kitchen sink, and those are typically 3/8″ compression fittings – which understandably match what is on this unit. A fridge, on the other hand, uses 1/4″ compression fittings for its water line (as well as the valve in the wall behind the fridge) and so I had to make a run to my local plumbing store to purchase two adapters – one for the inlet and one for the outlet – for a grand total of $8. I also found that the threaded connection at the water supply valve leaked unless I used the Teflon tape that (thankfully) ships in the box. I torqued everything up and observed it for 30 minutes: no leaks. This is important since it will be behind the fridge where slow leaks wouldn’t be obvious until the floor and/or walls were ruined.So, why TWO filters for my fridge?Simple.The one inside my Whirlpool fridge (Everydrop EDRARXD1) is both expensive and it doesn’t do a very good job. I had to fire it. Nothing personal.They retail for $60 and need to be replaced every 6 months. So that’s $120/year – all for the privilege of bad-tasting water. And, both the water and the ice in my fridge tasted horrible, even with regular filter changes. So, for essentially the same price, I purchased this 5-year filter and put it in-line with the fridge. Now, I have dual filtration: the first is this one and then the one inside the fridge. I figure that the fridge filter will no longer have to do much of anything, since this filter does all the heavy lifting, so I do not plan to change it – it can act as a pass-through piece of pipe for the next 5 years.After installation, I ran the water for 5 minutes as instructed and then had my wife and a guest in our house taste the water.Moment of truth…We all agreed it was pristine. No odor. No taste.Mission accomplished.

This thing makes staying hydrated way less of a hassle
Drinking water goes from an annoying hassle with water filter pitchers and dispensers which have to be moved around, cleaned, and refilled, lest they harbor mold and bacteria. If you have trouble staying hydrated because it is a hassle this unit is a great solution, especially if you are renting as you can’t use normal under sink filters that require drilling holes.This filter is different, you just hook it up to your regular faucet. Even if this unit only lasted 6 months out of the year I would happily replace it because it makes drinking water that doesn’t taste disgusting so much less of a hassle. (It of course doesn’t reduce TDS but you don’t really want that for most uses, unless you have special water filtration needs or have issues with water scale ruining your coffee makers, but RO purifiers actually have to add minerals back otherwise the water will taste funny.)The unit feels solid and had no problems with installation. It comes with adapters for most under sink hoses and teflon tape (although you likely won’t need it since they have a rubber gasket for sealing). The filtering speed is fine, it doesn’t noticeably reduce water flow (at least when new, will update if that changes), although the sink used has the smaller hose size. It’s unlikely size will be an issue unless your under sink space is tiny.

Be patient for a couple days!
One week in & we’re very satisfied with taste of our water!WHAT OTHERS SHOULD KNOW:At 1st we were really concerned that cold water flow was a mere trickle compared to what I’d expected but by the end of day 3 water flow had increased to about 70% of unfiltered HOT flow. More than acceptable for us compared to the trickle of the 1st couple days.Easy installation & great tasting water.

Great product and incredible support focus
The filer system is really easy to install and works well for a while. I have experienced blockages multiple times in the upper housing piece. However, the Waterdrop customer service team, especially Andrew, is one of the best that I have come across. They are quick to respond, get to the root cause, and provide any necessary replacement parts without a hassle. Any defect in the product is beyond made up for by an outstanding customer support team. I would recommend this product to others for sure.

Iโm an idiot!
This thing really works! I just installed it in my new motorhome a couple of weeks ago. I winterized my new unit a few days ago and couldnโt figure out why my cold water tap in the kitchen didnโt flow with the pink antifreeze like all my other taps did, when I suddenly realized I forgot to remove my new filter!! ๐ DUH! Needless to say I ruined my brand new filter! It cost me a new $35 for a new filter cartridge but it showed me how effective these filters really are. I highly recommend them!

Easy system
I was late in getting my system hooked up but I noticed the difference right away. My plumber told me to run the water for a bit first and it is very good. Do not have any extra tastes. Glad my son told me about this system. June

Very Good Long Lasting Water Filter
Noticed an improvement in the taste and very easy to install. Only suggestion is to provide an 3/8โ Male to female adapter for different outlet hose connection situations.

Nice filter
During the installation, I contacted the company because I needed a different output hose, since the intake of my faucet was a 1/4″ push tube connection, and the filter comes with a screw on fitting for the faucet as shown in the pictures. The new filter had a 1/4″ connector (not 3/8″ as the specifications say), but this worked out well for me since I just needed a single 1/4″ tube to complete the installation from filter to faucet. When I contacted the company to ask about this, they were very responsive, but I ended up buying the tube somewhere else.Water flow rate is really fast, so I don’t even need to open the faucet all the way or else the water splashes too much. I am happy with this filter.

This is very very good and excellent product with zero water waste. It is also value for money. Looks exactly same as what it’s shows. Ease to use and install. Product was installed on 29th Dec 2024 after delivered to to home. After installation first 3 days water quality was good and after that colour was bit changed as light yellow. But after few days water quality back to normal very pure and crystal clear. Below shown photo was taken on 24th May 2025 almost after six months. ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ ๐โ โ โ Quality product.

I bought this Waterdrop filter and Iโm honestly very happy with it. The installation was super easy and the design is clean and modern โ it fits perfectly under my sink.At first, I thought the filter was broken because the water pressure was very low. I contacted their customer support, and Karina from the team responded quickly and was incredibly helpful. They even sent me a free replacement filter without hesitation!Later, when I reinstalled everything more carefully, I realized the problem was actually a kinked hose on my side โ not the filter. I let them know about my mistake, but they still let me keep the replacement filter as a gift. That kind of customer service is rare these days.The filter itself works perfectly โ the water tastes great, pressure is back to normal, and overall itโs a great value.
