Excellent Capacity and Great Taste
This 40-cup water filter dispenser is a huge upgrade and truly fantastic. The water filters extremely well and in a timely manner. I made sure to follow the instructions that came with it precisely, and the system works flawlessly, delivering clean water quickly.The large capacity is the absolute game-changer for me. I previously had a 28-cup model, and I constantly had to fill it up at least twice a day, which quickly became a chore. The 40-cup size drastically cuts down on refilling time, making it much more convenient for daily use.I am also very impressed with the shape. Despite holding 40 cups, the design is surprisingly compact and fits perfectly in a variety of spaces without taking up an excessive amount of space—it’s very well thought out.I had recently stopped using my old dispenser because it developed a frustrating amount of hard water buildup that I couldn’t scrub off and that kept reappearing for the spots I could scrub off. I had resorted to drinking tap water again and completely forgot how different filtered water truly tastes. This new dispenser has reminded me how much better and cleaner filtered water is. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for high capacity and excellent filtration.

Great tasting water, good for big cups
We’ve have this for about a month now and we are both very pleased with the amount of water it holds and the taste of the water. It tastes like maybe one step down from bottle water but much better than straight from the tap. Out of the many other brands of filters we tried over the years we both think this one tastes the best for the price.It fits well in our fridge. I think the spout pours decently fast, no complaints there. It filters quickly, but I always try to let it chill for a few minutes for better taste. We use 40 and 30 oz cups and when the tank is fully filled we can refill our cups about 3 or so times each before needing to refill the tank. This is so much more convenient than smaller filters where one refill is one cup worth essentially, and it gives the extra water time to chill.Make sure to let the filter soak before using, I believe it says 10 minutes but I did about 30. Also of course wash the entire system before using. I wash ours every Sunday with scent free soap. I notice no smell from the tank or the water.For weight, it is very light even when fully filled. I think for a child or someone with less mobility it may be heavy and easy to drop. But the weight distribution due to its handle positions helps a lot.Overall this is the best filter we’ve gotten in many years. I will update once the filter needs to be replaced and if anything changes. Water tastes great, it doesn’t run out every 5 seconds, and it fits well in the fridge. I recommend trying it out!

***UPDATE as of 5/7/25***A customer service member from Water Drop reached out to me concerning the issue we had. They asked if they could send us a new system with filters and give them a try again. We agreed and have been using it for several weeks now, and I’m happy to report that our water filter system is working great and is odor-free! We will continue to monitor the system for any changes, but as of now, it’s working as it should and we’re thrilled to have a larger capacity water filtration system. Thank you, Water Drop for encouraging us to give you a try again. Your customer service is outstanding and you all went above and beyond to make this right for us. It’s much appreciated!——————————————————Prior to purchasing this water filter system, we had a Brita system with a 6-month filter. It worked great, however it was small and just didn’t hold enough water. When I found this Water Drop system, I thought it was perfect because it held so much more water and I wouldn’t have to fill it as much as my Brita pitcher. When it came, I read all of the instructions, cleaned everything and filtered the amount of water through before using for our drinking water. Everything seemed great until about a month later when my husband asked if our drinking water was tasting funny. I took a drink and yes, there was a weird taste. I tasted it from our tap, but did not have that same taste. Figuring it was some fluke, I dumped all the water, refilled and we kept encountering the same issue. The water was tasting what I would compare to “Florida water.” If anyone has lived or vacationed in Florida and drank their drinking fountain water, you’d taste what I call “swamp water.” It was awful and we could not figure out what was causing it! It got so bad that we had to throw out entire Water Drop system in the trash and we bought a brand new Brita. I’m kicking myself for wasting the money on this water filtering system.

Large capacity and efficient, inexpensive filters. A bit cumbersome to haul about for refills, but holds a good amount of water and keeps me hydrated. Water comes out very clean, filter does an excellent job pulling all the calcium from my rather hard water.

I bought this over 4yrs ago and I love this system. It’s the cleanest water I’ve ever had. Problem is, the tap spout no matter how much I clean it, doesn’t fully get cleaned. (Cleaned Everytime the filter was replaced) So the longer it’s in use, the dirtier it becomes.Well I tried looking on line for a replacement spout even a replacement rubber for the spout and I can’t find nothing on the company’s website. So now I’m forced to look for another system and one that probably doesn’t have an amazing water filtration system as this.Why? Simply because this company doesn’t care about it’s customers after market needs. I’m not buying a new system to replace something that I could have bought a pack of and been happy doing so.Definitely not impressed.
